I don't understand why shooting is part of the Olympics to begin with and I know you don't need to be physically fit to have a good shot but this is embarrassing to me. This is who is representing the US.

I don't understand why shooting is part of the Olympics to begin with and I know you don't need to be physically fit to have a good shot but this is embarrassing to me. This is who is representing the US.
You should look up what they have to do as far as training. Requires very high accuracy to compete on the World stage. Some shooting requires you to be physically fit because of the gear they wear to stabilize their bodies. For this type, it only matters how well she can aim.
The only thing that would be embarrassing is if she misses most of her shots. I don't care to poke fun at an athlete's weight. I hope she did/does well.

The reason I said this is embarrassing is because she represents America and to other countries, America is viewed as unhealthy and obese. I can't tell you how many times I saw memes referencing America being filled with absolute gluttony.
And yeah fair, you are right. This probably doesn't require her to be in shape. It still bothers me to see obese people at the Olympics. Maybe that is just me.
