The Greyhound bus stations in my city are now just a sign on the street. Nowhere to sit, no vending machine or anything. Meanwhile they are trying to send Zelensky more money.

Nothing good can come from this.

If the country was building high speed rail that would be one thing but nooooo. I took the Greyhound every summer to my pops because my mom couldn’t afford the plane ticket. My fam would not have allowed that if there wasn’t a bus terminal.

America should have been the first country with high speed rail. DC to NY is a no brainer. The amount of business and personal travel traffic would make it a great business decision based on the numbers. A few other places around the country as well. San Diego to LA.

What stopped it? The auto and airline industries as well as middle class White people who had the NIMBY (Not In My Back Yard) mindset.

I've seen hi speed rail first hand in other countries. After being amazed at how fast and affordable, you see how bad America is at infrastructure.
