I started watching this last night, I almost finished it (it's a mini series) If you haven't seen this I would
highly recommend watching it. Kevin is doing a superb job at his acting skills, and Wesley is good as usual.
The story is very good, lot's of twist's in it and watching might have you anxious like I have been this whole time.
I'll probably finish it tonight, if you haven't started it... start, you wont regret it.

OhmG!!! This was really good. Kevin and Wesley did an amazing job. Binge watched it the entire weekend. Great story, nice to see Kevin Hart not playing the Rock’s goofy sidekick or a parody of himself. I’m not a fan of KH’s movies or brand of comedy but Respect is due to him on this one!! So many plot twists as well.

You know every time Kevin’s (Kid’s)Team saw Wesley (Carlton) coming through it was bound to be extreme dysfunctional fukkery.
Kevin treated Hersch like ish and he deserved the compensation but I don’t know how to feel about that $6 million dollar bribe. So many moral dilemmas in this movie. There really needs to be a Season 2. Even though I think this might be a one off series bc it was more like a movie

I really think that this series were a compilation of different real life events and experiences that took place throughout Kevin’s life. Maybe not script for script but i definitely have a feeling this wasn’t a simple fictional story made for the screen - it was almost like Kevin didn’t have to act in certain parts because he lived it.

Especially when people come from the bottom, are desperate or so morally removed from society that they will commit whatever crimes or take whatever measures to keep or maintain what they have - money, power, fame, status. Money is such a strong motivator - good or bad. People sell their soul and code for riches.

I remember an interview Katt Williams gave and touched a little on what he's seen at some of these Hollywood parties, sick sh*t. I couldn't be famous and deal with famous people, I'm too anti social for that scene.

Facts. Same- I follow enough of my own code and have standards to not be caught up in that type of social lifestyle. My inner circle is so small and I’m not one to be sociable with outsiders so that restricts me off top. I have to be able to live with my conscience, spirituality, family and my decisions. The anxiety of needing attention is not something that I care for. Katt Williams is my favorite comedian and we know what the industry tried to do with him whenever he spoke his mind. I’ll never forget when he roasted that Atlanta radio host Wanda who tried to come at him sideways. Katt doesn’t play those celebrity games. Dude deaded her whole radio host career in less than 2 minutes.

Damn.. I remember this! She had it coming though, never get on the bad side of a comic, especially Katt!

Made even worse that Katt had her own morning squad laughing at her, off his jokes about her. I think that’s what really set her off. It’s one thing when your “enemies” get one off on you but when your own “people” who you thought would be loyal dont defend you and start kee keeing at your expense. It’s OVER 😂😂. Wanda def deserved all of that - her dumbass caught a humbling that day. No matter how top level these celebs think they are- there’s always going to be somebody that doesn’t give a fuqqqq. 😆

That’s the point of Kevin’s movie True Story- you really have no friends in the industry. People rock with you as long as they make money with you, help with their expenses, and your name as fame can contribute to their personal attainment - pure symbiotic. Because real friends will 100 have your back but fake alliances fall as soon as you fall from grace.

Until I started to see really good reviews and I’ve always liked Wesley Snipes - he brings a certain authenticity to roles that he takes on. The combination worked. It’s like Kevin got tired of being a punchline and reading negative reviews online about himself and hit the “y’all tried to count me out?? I’ll show you how I get down with my range ….”

The combination of Kevin & Wesley definitely worked. I was really surprised at how good their chemistry was, and I'd love to see them in more projects together.

Great recounting. I have that same concern with Kevin Hart in think like man and all his other movies he’s damn near being a minstrel. He clearly passed it on to tiff haddish because she does the same exact nonsense.
