Man I came across this on the Youtube and finally got a chance to sit down and watch. Crazy how young Hip Hop was back then, and you can feel it too. It made me a little sad to know how things would shake out for some of these cats. Seeing Pac perform definitely put a smile on my face. Far cry from the clown show that is going on today.

Bruh at 0:28 where LL is doing Around The away Girl takes me back. I loved that song I need to get that back in the whip.
There was a period of time where L.L. was just that dude.....but it was so many good groups out then it didn't feel like the gap for #1 was that big. That song takes me back to summer before my senior year, bumping that track and cruising around town scoping out the females at Six Flags and at the mall.

Man I remember being in 3rd grade when I'm Bad came out, and this 5th grader was playing it on his tape deck on the playground and rapping along with the music. It was such a visceral moment cuz to me this tall, lanky light skinned kid became L.L. for a few minutes. Its wild thinking about 30 plus years later

I used to fuk wit Eazy HARD till I peeped one of his songs was a TRANNY RAP The song "still talking shit". Ice Cube is a hellofa writer but i think that bar was "part of the deal" cause the rest of the songs is ridin. Eazy E was the prototype for the real gangsta. That shid in the movie was real from what I seen and heard.I dont know about the police tank at HIS DOPE house bout its possible cause it was certainly like that.

Public Enemy was a powerful creation. The name of the group and the timing. The different elements of original hiphop. Flav lettin the world know HE know what time it is.
Yes I remember they were larger than life when I was a child. Flava Flav was one of the dopest hype men of all time and the clock around the neck was so iconic. I miss that before my age and Flav’s antics showed me that they were just regular dudes. If I fought my intro song would be shut em down.

Which was such an early point in Hip Hop too I can’t imagine how it felt. I always wonder how would it feel to be alive at certain times. How did it feel when Let’s Groove Tonight first dropped on the radio or Billie Jean
