Does anyone here own the current Steam Deck that's available? I have wanted to get myself one for quite a while now, but I can't see myself spending that much money right now. And maybe it's a good idea I wait, because it looks like Valve may be making a new Steam Deck that's even better. It's also being said that they may change the look and design of the new one, which I'm for.

This new steam deck might even be able to stream video games. That's kinda cool. But I can only imagine how much more pricey they will end up being, unless they eat the costs and price it low like they did with the current Steam Deck.

I’m thinking about getting one. I love the Switch so I think the Steam Deck would be perfect. I like not having to be in front of the TV to game.

It's an entry-level gaming PC so you can actually connected to the TV and hook up accessories like a switch

I haven't been all that interested in handheld play in a while. I would check it out though. I don't really play app games and haven't touched my DS in years. I mainly only got it to play Pokemon Sun with one of my friends lol

Right now, I'm taking two classes: Java and C++. I took two classes in the summer: Python, and C. My goal is to get certifications in C++ and Java. I already have my degree in Computer Science, and two Associate degrees.

If they get it developed right, I'm very sure that most people are definitely going to be interested in getting that. I have the very first one and I'm sure going to interested in this new release should it meet expectations.

I would love to get a Steam Deck in the future, I just can't afford one right now. It'd be cool to play numerous Steam titles on the go, as well as numerous emulators. As for game streaming, I don't like it myself. For one you have to have decent internet to even stream games, and where I live I don't have the most reliable internet. I'm sure there's a market for game streaming though, Amazon and Google have their own services. (Though Luna I've heard is arguably better than Stadia...)

The DRM with streaming sucks too. They have total control of when and how you can use the media and I’m not cool with t hat.

You're gonna have to put in more efforts in your studies to be able to pull that off and have yourself rewarded with a new Steam Deck. You're capable of doing it, it's all about how focus you're willing to be.
I will be getting one for myself.
