It has been some time since I cared about a superhero/villain movie. I feel like they overhyped the genre to the point where anything could make money, even if it sucks. I won't bother watching this one either even though Venom was among my favorites growing up.

I saw both Venom 1 & 2 and honestly if you go into it with the mind frame of the 2005 comic movie its pretty good in my personal opinion and Venom 2 is around 90 mins so that's a major plus in my eyes as most movies need to go back to that

The billboards even look stupid. I saw the one with the two dudes Venom and Carnage and it looked so cheesy. I think we are close to hitting the peak for comic book movies.

The first one was trash, no reason to think the sequel would be better.
But they make money so Venom 3 incoming

I saw it with my son and this quote from a review sum it up for me:

One of the many problems here is that the writing is that of a failed sitcom pilot about bickering roomies with issues but who essentially love one another (God knows why) but can’t stand the living situation. The jokes fall flat, in keeping with the strict one-dimensionality of the characters. Eddie is dumb. Very dumb. He also makes very little effort to disguise the conversations he’s having with Venom while out in public. I mean, how hard is it to put a cell phone to your ear?

i was thinking the same. i havent seen part 2 but 1 was decent. i thought.
