Onions: just couldn't stand the smell as a kid. Now I use them to cook everything lol

Eggs: same as onions, the smell used to drive me bananas

Brussel sprouts: vowed to never eat them again as a child but now I almost always order them when available at a restaurant

Spray some brussel sprouts with a little cooking spray, and then air fry them for a few minutes.
Season them to taste.
That's such a quick, easy, and healthy meal!

Moms used to boil them and they were awful. Now I sauté them with some olive oil, butter, bacon, and salt. Perfection.

It was definitely Onions for me. I’ve barely started to really get into them in my 30’s.

    Pre-Teens: Hell No
    Teens: Hell to the No
Early 20’s: They put onions when I said no onion, let me pull them out of the dish
Late 20’s: They put onions in this, I don’t feel like pulling them out, I’ll just eat them
Early 30’s: They put onions in this again, but last time I ate them it added good flavor, let me embrace it
    Mid 30’s: I like onions

I hated taking baths. I always preferred showers, even from a young age. Now that I am older, I appreciate them more. I like to take 2 or 3 a week just to soak my bones. I will relax for a good 30 min then rinse off under the shower.

Unrelated but I don't think I've taken an actual legitimate bath in my adult life

Most people don't. I think it is more common for women. We have all our salts, soaks, bombs, and bubbles to enjoy! LOL I like to use those salts for when I am sore to ease pain and help me sleep.

Hated baths too, but we didn't have a shower growing up, just a tub. I hated the idea of the dirt just floating around in the water while I'm still in it. I have a shower/tub combo now but I usually only ever take showers now. Only take baths after a high intensity workout and I need to soak so that my muscles won't be too sore the next day.

I know what you mean. I have to shower after my bath, every time. We had a tub but we also had one of those free-standing showers in the basement and that is what I mainly used.

I remember some of the elders listening to Malcom X and Black empowerment speeches, the quality was terrible. It was just noise to me. Now, it's what I prefer to listen to while running a 5k.

I can't get enough of it. Especially Bollywood films, they seem to have an inexhaustible amount of unique love tales. Watching couples overcome everything life throws at them is inspiring.

    This was nostalgic. Great post!
