You can't beat the albums of our Black rock bands as well, all-time favourites that I would recommend would be, Rebelmatic's Ghost In The Shadows and Living Colours' The Chair In The Doorway. Still can't get any of those songs from either of those albums out of my head, to this day lol

A lot of those are Funk and R&B bands so don’t be disappointed.
That's cool. Listening to different types of music instead of sticking to one sound is important, can't be living off one genre forever. I heard that listening to music can change your world view and I also know that from experience. Subjecting yourself to one or two genres can make you miserable.

You listed some of the best bands/artists ever! Santana is probably my favorite artist you've listed, but I also love The Commodores, The Gap Band, etc. I used to listen to funk as a kid growing up in the late 90's and early 00's. When I was really young, I remember my uncle telling me I must be an old soul since most of the stuff I enjoyed listening to was from the 70's.

My adult children were born to this music & it's their favorite.
