What black superheroes or comic characters do you want to see get their own movie?

There is an ever growing list of black superheroes and we're finally seeing movies and shows featuring them. We already got a Miles Morales (Spider-Man) movie and are getting a sequel movie along with him appearing in the Spider-Man games. He will also be a playable character in the new Spider-man video game.

There's Black Lighting on the CW. There's a black women donning the cowl of batwoman in the CW show. Even though I can't really get into that show. But it's a change that I am happy to see. More black stars getting the chance to play these inspirational superheroes and characters that white people have been getting for years now.

Luke Cage is another show I thoroughly enjoyed. And I hope the MCU brings him back in as Luke Cage. They are planning that with Daredevil, so bring him too please. And of course, we can't forget about Black Panther, which probably started it all, or helped show the world that we can have a Black Superhero that sells out theaters.

What black superheroes or black comic book characters, do you want to see get their own movie next?

Blue Marvel for sure.

If possible Bishop as well.
Since he's too old to play Blade, I could see Wesley Snipes playing Blue Marvel (I know that would never happen though).
Michael Jai White would also make an excellent Blue Marvel.

I'll have to check his comic out, looks really good.

I'd love to see Michael Jai White playing another superhero. Was not a fan of Spawn, but I don't think many were. But put him in a film directed by someone competent, I bet he could do a superhero role great!

Man I need Static Shock. That was my joint as a young buck.
I can't believe I forgot about Static Shock. I watched that show when I was a kid a ton. Should have lasted a lot longer than it did imo. But four good seasons will hold me over.

While he might be a relatively recent addition to the ever-expanding roster of Marvel heroes, Blue Marvel is objectively one of the strongest of them all. ... Being able to single-handedly generate a stable event horizon, Blue Marvel is called in to close the black hole and save the moon, and also the world in general.

    Definitely Static Shock!
DC comics better not try to finesse Dwayne McDuffie's family, either!
For sure, Static Shock is up there for me as well.

Yeah, seems everyone here is for Blue Marvel, I will have to check out his comics if they're that good. Probably a good time to pick some up for the holidays, going to have some free time to relax anyway.

For Marvel: I'd like to see Storm. Particularly with a storyline that explores her marriage to TChalla. I'd also like to see War Machine.

For DC: I'd love to see Steel. John Henry Irons' journey to becoming a hero was always interesting to me.

Sidenote: I'm very excited to see Mahershala Ali's portrayal of Blade when it comes out.

They did a Steel movie years ago. It starred Shaq. It was kinda lame, and had shades of intersectionality.

Breh you took me back that joint is about 20 years old if I’m not mistaken. It was ok, I remember watching it and then playing Michael Jordan the Windy City after.

    Childhood.

Black Lightning & Luke Cage need their own movies! I'm guessing Idris Elba will never be 007. No black Spiderman, Super Man or Batman either. I'd rather we have our own black super heroes anyway. Hancock was cool, after he let the alcohol go. 💯
Idris would be such a dope 007 but the racist producer doesn’t want that to happen at all.
