Hey yall,

I saw this on Twitter and wanted to pose the question here to have a little fun.
My list is as follows not in any particular order.

1. Thanos (Avengers) - I 100% agreed with him. Even if I didn't like how reckless his execution was, more than half of folks need to be finger-snapped out this MF if we want to keep it all the way 100. Yes the whole scarce resource thing tracks but really it's just there are terrible pieces of shit cosplaying as humans who need to NOT be among the rest of us.

2. Joker (Batman) - He represents Humanity with the "mask" off (I love that irony considering he's hiding behind one with the clown make-up) and I think a "true form" humanity helps the rest of us identify our enemies so we don't find ourselves accidentally breaking bread with them. Also, similar to my reasons for supporting Thanos, you can't save a rotten populace....it's best to just let it burn to the ground and start over. Build a new foundation.

3. Eric Killmonger (Black Panther) - I don't think I need too much explanation here. He has a militaristic and self-preservationist approach to how we deal with the White Supremacist problem and their apologists. He also has an offensive state of mind that borders on not only reclaiming stolen property from them but also giving them a taste of their own medicine by colonizing and overthrowing them where they live.

4. Dexter Morgan (Dexter) - Look dude was a serial killer who killed serial killers. I can't sit here and act like we couldn't use a Dexter Morgan out here to scoop up these bastards that weasel their way out the Justice System.

5. Magneto (X-Men) - This list would not be complete without an X-Men character. Though I respect Charles' position, the truth is Erik is right, the humans can't be trusted and circling the wagons and either eliminating them or turning them into the Mutants which is the next evolution of the species is really the only way forward if we want to keep it a buck.

6. Stan Edgar (The Boys) - Yall know from the Boys thread that Stan is my nigga!!!! Make no mistake this man is NO HERO. HE IS AS MUCH A VILLAIN ALONG WITH THE REST OF THE SEVEN. But Stan understands the fucking assignment. Stan is about business and HE knows if he can get these government contracts and if he can dictate the outcomes to political conflicts, then MAYBE.... JUST MAYBE he can do a little bit of good up under the noses of the self-absorbed egomaniacs he's surrounded by.

7. VIKI (I, Robot) - Seriously, her logic was undeniable. She felt like if she just took over the world and ruled over humans it would keep them from being able to freely do dumb shit that would ultimately kill themselves off. I support that logic.

That's my list off the top of my head.

What characters made yours?

Nagato (Naruto) - I don’t completely agree with him but I understand him. He was a war orphan whose brother-like best friend died trying to promote peace and protect him so he decided to wage a global war to end all wars. Unfortunately he got led astray by another guy who was led astray by a psychopath, all sharing similar goals and beliefs. Again I don’t completely agree with him but withinn that chain of manipulation he was the most used.

Darth Vader (Star Wars) - Completely agree with his logic. Born into slavery alongside his mother he ultimately wanted to free her so he agrees to join the Jedi thinking this will be his way of freeing his mom only to grow animosity for the Jedi and their strict rules. This animosity grows when his mom dies while he is away training with the Jedi, compounded by the disrespect of not Samuel Jackson letting him again the rank of master lol. When he finally finds love he starts having visions of her death, both this and his animosity for the Jedi get exploited by Palpatine who convinces him that he knows how he can save Vader’s (Anakin) loved ones from death. This was all a scheme just to force Vader to the dark side and literally cripple him so that he could forever be used by Palpatine. I could explain a lot like how he was created by the dark side but ultimately I agree with his desires but he got led astray by the forces of evil. In the end he does technically defeat Palpatine and bring balance to the force… until Disney ruined that.

    First, fun and great topic.
I was going to name but agree on these that were already mentioned.

    Killmonger, my personal number 1.
    Omar Little
    Dexter Morgan

    I'll add:
Chalky White (Boardwalk Empire), not sure if he would classify as a villain

    Valentin Narcisse (Boardwalk Empire)

Gellert Grindelwald (Fantastic Beasts series): His (and Dumbledore's original intention) as taken from wiki "They also dreamed of... creating a new order in which wise and powerful wizards and witches were the benevolent overlords of their world, including Muggles Dumbledore coined the phrase "For the Greater Good" that would be used to justify the necessary use of force required to achieve their goals, and Grindelwald would later adopt as his motto"

Michael Corleone (The Godfather II) He is really supposed to be a bad guy per Francis Ford Coppola to show how he was corrupted. He wanted to change the mafia game for good and leave it but went deeper into it.

Nathan Jones (Con Air). This is Ving Raines character, he was tryna play 3D chess by using the white boy. His quote of why he worked with Cyrus when he was a black nationalist. It's a means to an end, my white freind. A means to an end. See, I's can play house n****r tills we get to where we're goin'. And then, the Day of the Dog begins.

Stringer Bell (The Wire). He saw the long game. He wanted to use the dope game to get us the economic leverage in the white world.

Brother Mouzone (The Wire): He knew the long game as well.

Elijah Price , aka Mr. Glass (Unbreakable series): Played by Samuel L. Jackson, he wanted to find a person who couldn't be defeated to save and protect people. He went about the wrong way but that was his objective.

Sidenote: Magneto was based on Malcolm X

He was more an anti-hero to me, but I get how he could be viewed as a villain since the show was based on Nucky Thompson.

Yeah I had Michael in mind but I just can't view him as a villain or any mafioso for that matter even though they technically are. I think generally speaking mobsters are anti-heros.
    • Omar Little from The Wire (copy & paste HailCzr85 reason for picking Dexter)
    • Cottonmouth from Luke Cage
Cotton Mouth I felt was an anti-hero but I see how he can get the villain tag. Black Mariah was the real villain, IMO.

Sidenote: Magneto was based on Malcolm X
Sidenote: The entire series was meant to mirror the civil rights movement.
