Yeah I agree with you on that Ro. Like it was good information. But there's just....something about it. You have two obviously mixed race women presenting this info, one is clearly Asian non-black and the other is looks to be half black. It's on PBS so that aesthetic was probably done to make it more palatable for whites. despite all that, it very well could be on the up and up. For me, maybe it's the lack of at least one dark skinned black person participating in the presentation. So it's giving off the impression that there's some foolery some kind of way.

right!! I feel like there is a subconscious and maybe even a conscious association that whiteness and white people equals boring, lame, unimaginative, uncreative, hokey, vanilla, basic. Here's the thing on that though, it's THEIR kids who show them because THEIR kids are so fascinated with black culture. So for them, THEY actually believe it's some shit "The Kids" have come up with. Until they find out it's black culture and then they find some way to spin away from the story or try to ignore and bury it, like always
