100-Mile Border Enforcement Zone - Southern Border Communities Coalition

The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), which includes the Border Patrol, is the largest law enforcement agency in the country. Their jurisdiction they claim spans 100 miles into the interior of the United States from any land or maritime border. Two-thirds of the U.S. population lives within this 100-mile border enforcement zone, including cities like Washington D.C., San Francisco CA, Chicago IL, New Orleans LA, Boston MA, & more.

Because these are considered border cities, federal border and immigration agents assert the power to board public transportation or set up interior checkpoints and stop, interrogate and search children on their way to school, parents on their way to work, and families going to doctor’s appointments or the grocery store — all done without a warrant or reasonable suspicion.

Someone at my work sent me a link after showing me some tweets of people talking about this. I never heard of such a thing.

There were stories about this written over the last 5 or so years and people suddenly started taking notice. They are said to have used this power against minorities (including black families) for decades now. Some have said it is a "no human rights zone" which is pretty scary. Does anyone know more about this? maybe someone in the military or with military experience can explain this better. Is this something we need to worry about?

My dad said it is actually 150 miles, not 100. There have been attempts to get rid of it but the supreme court has shot it down. Right now, this mostly targets people who they suspect to be here illegally but knowing how many illegals are in this country right now, I beg to question what they are really doing with these powers. Biden already said he is coming for our guns. Expect them to use this power to strip us of all human rights if these insane people are not kicked out of office. I don't think people will just bend over and take it, I feel this will lead to a civil war.

I did look into this more and saw that they change some stuff with this recently which is why people are talking about it again. They can apparently now come into our homes without a warrant and the state cannot protect us. I feel like this is going to cause a civil war for sure cause there are plenty of states that will tell them to f off.

The irony is one of the things the "founding fathers" detested was how England made them house British soldiers and they couldn't refuse. America can't even stand on it's own supposed morals.

Wait until they start forcing people along the border to house illegals from Mexico. I can bet you they do this if the Democrats stay in office another 4 years after Biden.
