I remember being pretty young, maybe 4 or 5 idk, where I was playing Super Mario Bros 3. I remember we had a NES for a while, but I think we got it from a family friend. I remember playing that game, and being stuck on it for hours. I had a blast. And then I remember when I saw the Sega Genesis in action when I first played Sonic the Hedgehog. I thought it was the most unique game ever, it was so fast and fun. I remember bugging my dad that year to get a Genesis and that was a definite no go since we had the NES.

That was my first experience with gaming, and I've been into gaming ever since. What about you? What is your first experience with gaming. Was it good? Was it bad? What game was it? Maybe it was a PC game, or a handheld game. Whatever your first experience was, counts.

I wasn't into games as much as I was into computers that ran the games. I attended Antwerp International School and all of the systems to play games on, was Apple II. I would spend study hours playing everything they had loaded. Frogger was my game. There was also a game with a car that would shoot other cars in your lane. Great times.

I've been gaming since the The Commodore 64, where you had to actually type the code of the game you wanted to play, my brother and I would take turns typing in the codes for larger games.
You could save the game on a cassette or floppy disk, the real floppy disks, ones that were almost the size of a sheet of paper.
Yea I go back that far lol 😂

Nice. A friend of mine had an old commodore 64 and I remember playing that a few times. Never played on an Apple II, or any other computer like it. I remember playing a mouse game on the commodore 64, but that's all I remember.

My dad got me a playstation for my birthday and I was hooked. I would play games for hours and hours lol I think the first game I played was a game based off of that Rocket Power cartoon.
I think I had that game haha! I had a PS1 when I was a kid too, and I remember getting a bunch of used games at the time. I forget most of them, but I remember one being called In the Hunt, and I played that for hours, of course I also had Tekken and that took up a lot of my time.

    Playing roblox with my classmates.
You must be a youngin then. My nephew played Roblox a lot. I never saw any appeal in it, but I heard you can modify the game a ton to pretty much make it your own.

Oh damn, speak of the devil. I only got to play on a C64 a few times, but each time I did I had a lot of fun. The load times though, my god. By the time I did play it, the PS1 was out, so I got there late, but I still had fun. I actually bought a used C64 a few years ago, but it didn't work. :( I guess they are known for dying after some years.

Back then there wasn't a reference for load times, it was just standard back then. They were fun to play though. it amazes me how far tech has come in such a short time.

There still isn't. Every progress bar is a callback function that the programmer calls to give an opinion on when the job is finished.

Did you know that Player 2 could control the duck in Duck Hunt?

Mine was up down up down left right left right a b select start. At least that’s how I remember it and the only way I was able to beat Contra. I loved the NES, I remember buying games from the pawn shop. I got this joint called bump n jump that was crack.
Man you took me back. That contra intro music was so iconic.
