I guess this is up for debate, I was always under the impression that being exclusive meant only you two are seeing one another and no one else. But isn’t that what being in a relationship means? The labels? Yet being exclusive doesn’t necessarily mean you’re in a relationship with that person…

If you are in a relationship there is greater expectation. When you are exclusive you are just saying you won't romp with others. When you are in a relationship you are a single unit and trying to create something more.

I think the differences is that being, "Exclusive" is more so an advanced version of dating where two individuals are not seeing other people and continuing moving forward towards a full relationship. When in a, "Relationship" it's being exclusive but now as Sankara mentioned with added responsibilities, now with a more bigger focus and even a goal to get married if the conditions are right.

True. But I would think most woman wouldn't like the whole FWB deal (Some might to a degree...right up until she assumes that's all it is..) which is why in many cases they would ask that age old question, "What are we doing?" or "Where do you see this going?"

You ain't lying! you have to literally hit it like you don't know what you are doing in order for the FWB factor to still stay relevant but if you do it right they will consider it if they are talking to someone else or seeing someone else which also contributes to being a FWB.

SPOT ON!! A good friend of mine told me about his experience with one his female friend whom he's into FWB deal. Their romping got so good that she didn't want to share him with anyone else and it became a problem for them because my guy wasn't ready for full time commitment and relationship.
