Most definitely Love Jones, the ambiance, the jazz soundtrack, the cinematography, it's the GOAT Black romance movie.
Gotta go with love and basketball based on how yummy Sanaa looked.
That was the best part. When homie was stalking Nia and popped up at her crib and she let him in I was off the movie.

Brown Sugar. Hands down the best of those. I loved the cast, the story, and how everything unfolded for them both. It had the perfect mix of love and romance with comedy, blended with character development that felt authentic and real.
I felt like the hip hop part was shoe horned in, it didn’t feel authentic to me. Like in love and basketball you can tell that they really loved basketball.
Check it out. It's a slept on joint from the 90's that, like Love Jones, had a very popular soundtrack.

Put me down for Love Jones. It was corny at times but was a very authentic take on Black American life. I felt like I knew someone like each of the characters. Nia wasn't shit though for going to New York and trying to make Larenz jealous.
