There are a lot of bad games mixed among some of the best games ever. Some games are worse than others, like Superman 64 on the N64, ET for the Atari, Sonic 06, Aquaman for the gamecube and more. But what is a game that you specifically had a horrible time playing? The last few Madden games were pretty bad, but I think for me, Sonic 06 was the worst game for me. I'm into Sonic, have been since I was a kid, but the fact that they destroyed Sonic with this game, I have much hate for how awful this game was. And it doesn't help that most of the games that followed weren't that better.

But, what games do you remember being awful?

Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub-Zero. For Playstation 1. It was Midway's attempt to make MK a story based kind of game and it was a horrible effort.
Haha I remember that game. I had no idea why they made this game. I Think it came out on the N64 as well, and that's how I played it. I ended up renting an N64 and that game one weekend and realized it was a big mistake. I think I was stuck with it that whole weekend too. Was a bad rental, and weekend because of it.

Were there any rentals you regretted?

I never really regretted any rentals because my parents never let me rent them. So There's been regrettable purchases. I didn't start regretting rentals for real til I Signed up for Gamefly. OMG you don't know irritation like waiting for 3 days for a Low availability game then it gets sent and the MF don't work so you gotta send the disk back.

This is so hard because I erase bad games from memory instantly. Also there is objectively bad e.g. bad mechanics, bugs, etc and subjectively bad like Ubisoft releasing the same crap over and over.

The subjectively bad games I can remember are:
    • The Outer Wilds (boring gameplay, nonsensical story, stupid characters, lazy environments)
    • Just Cause 4 (you just run around blowing up stuff…the story is not there to entertain its to connect the blowing up stuff.)
    • Assassin’s Creed Origins (run of the mill open world bull Jive_
    • GTA V (The world is gorgeous but empty, mission structure is archaic)
    • Sonic Forces (hold up and tap X)

Yeah I felt that in AC3 with Connor Kenway(UGH he was a whiny little bitch. I couldn't stand him)

Mystery Quest on Nintendo. It was weird and i think it was designed to have no ending lol.

Also this game called Bible Adventures(I grew up with hyper religious nut neighbors). It always crashed after the 3rd level on the Noah's Ark board, Then there was the baby moses board that was terribly glitched and then the David and Goliath level also cluster of glitches. I think I was 6 or 7 when I got it. Anyway when the internet came out, I think I read somewhere that the game was created with an illegal chip or something and I chuckled at the irony of that.

OMG I had both of those and they both sucked! The Bible quest was so difficult it has some nice colors though.

I like the one with the little gauge and when you locked up you would have to tap the buttons quick to win the tie up b
I can't remember which that was specifically. I enjoyed Royal Rumble too. I played that on Sega Genesis. I had Super Wrestlemania on SNES. I Played "In Your House" on Sega Saturn. It was Mortal Kombat-esque. Special weapons, pin finishers.

NBA Jam in the arcade was the worst ish I ever played by far. That ish would cheat so bad don’t be up at halftime the computer would cheat like crazy. Draining 3s on fire and ish you have no chance. f**k all midway arcade games.
Bruh same with NBA Hangtime and Blitz those games cheat like hell. You'd be up 20 points in the first half and they go into cheat mode in the second half and steal your quarter.

That’s why I said fuck all those games because they all cheated. I got the NES version and it was way better.
