When do you think the best time to get married is?

I know not at a young age, because honestly, we're too damn dumb when we're young and let lust for someone push us to getting married. I have waited my whole life so far for marriage and I think I can wait a little longer. There's no rush for me. Reason why, is because I've seen so many friends and family get married way too soon, and in turn, they end up getting divorced or they start to go to therapy to save the marriage.

I've decided I'm waiting a bit longer. I'm dating a girl I really like right now, but the idea of getting married is a far ways off right now. When I do eventually ask that question, I want to be certain she is the one. Ya know? Like I ain't going to rush into marriage right away, not like my friends and family who already made that mistake.

For you, when do you think you'd want to get married? If you're not married already that is.

I was 28 when I got married, I was with my wife for a year before we got married, during that year about 6 months in I knew she had potential to be a wife, another 6 months I knew she would be my wife. I think a year is a good amount of time to know someone, if you aren't feeling like she/he's the one in a year... something ain't right. If you feel like they are the one, get married, start your lives together and enjoy the ride.

When it becomes mentally, spiritually, emotionally, physically hell even financially, unfathomable to be anything else. Then it's to time to level up to marriage, otherwise leave or enjoy it as is.
That’s a good explanation. When the benefits of being married outweigh the disadvantages then do it.

Nothing beats young love. Under twenty-five for women, about thirty for men. Who wants a wife that has been with lots of other guys?

I agree with this 100%. No reason to be dating a woman 3-4 years wasting time. You know within 30 days if she is relationship material and in 6 months if she is marriage material. If you can determine that it’s because it’s you not her.

When you’re ready. If you’re never ready then you shouldn’t get married.
Agree 100%. I believe the woman I am with right now is the one, but we're not in a place right now to get married. She's in college yet, and we're supposed moving in together, but moving to a different location soon.

I would rather wait too. There's a few in my family that got married and had kids young. Now they're divorced because they "didn't get a chance to live while they're young". Of course that's not always the case but I would rather wait and know for sure that he's the one.
Exactly. Better to live now than settle down too early. I think we're inching closer to marriage, but I think we're going to wait on having kids for a while either way. Don't want to rush into it, as we're not financially stable yet anyway. I figure in 5 years, we could start to build a family.

My girlfriend and I have been dating for a 4 months now, so not too long yet. I think she is the one though, she's perfect for me, but I'm in no hurry to rush anything. We've expressed our interest in marriage and having kids already. But we both agreed to wait on that for now. With her in college and me trying to advance in work, we have decided to do some traveling if possible and attempt to see some of the world before we hopefully start a family.

Yeah, I think even in the 4 months i've dated her, I could see myself with her for the rest of my life. I think I can see us getting married sooner than later. I already feel like she's marriage material, but I'm going to give it some more time before I pop the question.

Whenever I do pop that question, I think I want to make it as perfect as possible for her as well.

I like this explanation. When being unmarried makes more difficult for you to collaborate and cooperate then it’s time to tie the knot.
