Some are saying it is just a rich man's fantasy. Others are saying it will be part of the future for everyone. I am not sure how I feel about it.

Like everything I learned about it, it is making me feel as if they want to use this tech to track and database everyone and everything they are doing to the point where we have no privacy. Then you have Elon going on about brain chips. If they combine those two, it would legit be like that novel 1984. We'd be zombies who can be punished for thinking the wrong way. That scares me.

I think we are a ways out from that though, even if that is the direction things are heading and thankfully, a lot of smart people are in the tech world underground that will have solutions to anything they throw at us.

On a side note, shoe companies are investing in NFTs now so that is really making me think we are heading into a weird future.

Are you talking about NFTs or the metaverse in general?

I still can't get behind NFTs but I can understand their value in some circumstances. I don't see much value at all in the metaverse, especially not from the people in charge of it.

I am talking in general about it, NFT is good value of investment but at the moment still need to think about before making any investment. So I avoid both of them.

It reminds me of those people who were getting upset over GTA mods making it look like they were sexually violating people. Virtual reality is NOT reality! Like damn man, people are too sensitive. I am sorry but a real-world experience cannot be compared or contrasted to a simulation. Both are uncomfortable, sure but one is a million times worse.
