Big bro had some really deep thoughts and hes right. But is it time to let slave food go completly or just once a week every other holiday, what yall think. Im trying to get into cooking now and getting away from fast food aka cracker food completly. But i dont know whats good anymore turns out alot of what i thought is inaccurate. Love to know what yall think as far as the black diet goes for food and drink.

Most of our generation has let the slave diet go, given that we're leading the way on healthier alternatives. I still indulge the fried impurities on top of vegetables just to keep a balance. Am I wrong for this? Lol

You can promote a healthy diet without dissing our cultural foods. Instead of throwing them to the side, figure out how to make them in a more healthy fashion. Some stuff I had to let go though like chitlins, hog mog, pig feet, etc. But Fried Chicken, Collard Greens, Yams, those aint going nowhere. But I also work out, moderate my portions, and recently cut back on my coffee and alcohol consumption. It aint just the soul food alone, its most likely soul food and sedentary lifestyles combined.

I don't partake in a lot of fried foods like I did before. So instead of fried chicken, I eat baked or grilled. Instead of cooking everything in vegetable or corn oil, I use canola or olive oil. Instead of gorging myself with large amounts of red meat(beef and pork), I might elect to eat a turkey or veggie based version of meat. Increase your vegetable and fruit intake. Instead of eating ice cream out the ass, I sub in a homemade fruit smoothie.

The truth is, there aren't any specific foods we should or shouldn't be eating. We can eat whatever the hell we want whenever the hell we want. A healthier lifestyle is more about portion control and choosing healthier alternatives to items that aren't healthy to begin with like fast food, processed food, and junk food.

Black food has spread far and wide and this is an american talking about it chris rock brought this up to so dont try to make this a canadian disrespecting the ways thing if its not good for us we should have a discusion about what to do about it. So what's good up there? THe only Black people I've ever met in Canada were living in T.O. and a couple in in Quebec. Is there a B1 movement up there? or do most Blacks try to get along to go along? Knowing what I know now about most immigrants, its hard to imagine there are a lot of riders. Especially up in Canada where the racism is a lot less blatantly heinous. I think here in the states we go so hard because we really have seen the worst, but then again, when I think of the Congolese and South Africans, I find it crazy that they would even allow white people to step foot inside their borders. Canada tho....the racism is a lot like OR, MN, and Seattle, Austin; all places where they can pretend they aren't racist because there are very few people to practice it against. I myself have never had any problems up there, and even thought it felt mild compared to here, but I've seen enough hockey to know how they treat brothas (even though its a sport we allegedly created). What's the racial temperature up there? Black folks phux wit Trudeau?

Hmmm well people kind of stick to their own or at least this was true when i was in school. Store owners can be an issue of course if you linger too long. You get the feeling like they want you to hurry. The government of course is racist judge, police, prosecution, jail guards, teachers or maybe they were just assholes but i got the feeling there was a definitie superiority problem. B1 movement not really i immagine there is in places like north preston. But in a city like windsor everyone is just trying to stay off the radar. Everyone knows there is a problem but there has never been a grrat leader to put that shyt on front street and build a community for it in starting to think its going to have to be me. Though i am not sure where to start. No we dont fuk with trudeau he consistanty wears black face irs disgusting.
