White musicians and rappers who have mediocre to no talent get tons of shine because their white skin but us really talent black Americans have to go through hoops to get our shine. There are so many of us who are supremely talented but we get shadow banned...ignored and looked past so I think we have to play the same game. Even if some of us have little to no talent which is rare, we should still choose them and promote them over outsiders.
We’ve cared about what White people think for way too long. Who cares if he is pro or against our lives, that’s the point. It’s not to attack you it’s to reaffirm the stance of the site. It’s for Black people, by Black people, and from Black people.
Remember how they did Beyonce when she had that country song? Even though technically we invented country, they won't let us anywhere close to what they think is theirs.
There's a whole ass 'who here loves trip hop genre (hip hop influenced downtempo music) thread' on here and many if not most of the trip hop acts (at least the ones posted) are/were white.
Being pro BLM don't mean shit. That whole organization was compromised years ago. Now white politicians just use it to launder money. But that is beside the point... I wouldn't have any issue with white people rapping if they allowed our people to freely move into other genres without making such a big deal about it. Since they don't want us in their space, we shouldn't want them in ours.
Im speaking on the movement not the organzation we are all aware that was stolen. However the shift in white conciousness of the young and their music this i think is a intresting topic of exploration. There are a bunch of videos of young white kids talking to their racist parents on tictoc that i think is intesting as well.
I hear you and that's on them to talk about to their community. We do not need White people talking to us about racism, oppression, unfairness, etc we already know about it, we live it. He should make Country, EDM, and Pop music talking about White racism if he wants to be effective.

Better yet, he should talk about how we should get reparations and an anti black racism hate crime bill that will give severe punishments to offenders. He can rap about that though.
