Bel-Air, the new reboot on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, will be a more serious take on the story. Do you think that we'll past shows get this same treatment? What if they did a serious take on family matters. But seriously, I've never heard of a show getting rebooted in this way. Do you think it could happen for other shows? Honestly, could see Sanford and Sons being rebooted as a more serious show, but I doubt anyone would be allowed to touch that show.

I honestly don't like reboots, most of them are corny AF and over the years of being used to a certain character you'll do nothing but compare the new character to the old one.
a lot of people do that with the Spiderman(s) (i like this latest one best for the record.)

I don't know, I'm just a fan of "if it isn't broke, don't fix it"

I don't mind reboots if it's more a reimagining, like Bel-Air. A reimagining is a totally different take on something where as a reboot is exactly that a reboot.

True. I'm reminded of the remake of Oldboy. It was okay, but wasn't near as good as the Korean version that came before it. Or like the many Home Alone movies after the first two.

Halloween has also been rebooted countless times now as well. I like the newer Spider-Man films as well, but I still view the Tobey MaGuire movies as the better ones. But I'm psyched for Far From Home.

Yeah I get that. It'll be its own thing in its own world kinda thing. We'll still have the original show and all its great comedy, but now we'll also have a more serious take, and I think I'm okay with that. I just hope it turns out to be something special.

Straight up! I'm excited for it. I think Will Smith's production company, Overbrook, is behind the project as well so I think this rendition will do the legacy and the essence of Fresh Prince justice.
