One of the most important things to me in a woman is natural beauty.
A lot of celebrities are always seen in make up and are rarely seen with out it.

With the right make up most women can be made to look pretty good.

I think one of the things about my wife is that she's naturally good looking even without makeup. Now I'm not an idiot either. She looks even better with makeup but she doesn't need to wear a lot of it to look good.

Even when she wakes up she's beautiful!

What are your thoughts on natural beauty?

Or as Beyonce said "I woke up like this!"

My sister's boyfriend once said "If you want to see what a woman looks like all-natural from the start, take her to a water park for a first date".

I am all for women wearing make-up, wigs, weave, whatever makes you feel good but you have to understand that if you get too far gone with it, you are basically going to be out there catfishing men. I always felt natural hair and skincare were more important. Take care of what you have so you have less to cover up or hide. If your complexion is a mess, try to understand your body more and give it what it needs to heal. If your hair is struggling to grow, feed it and give it time to breathe.

I once dated a girl that was black and Puerto Rican mix. She was good looking but if she just was in her around the house stuff or just woke up and didn't do anything she looked very hood ratish!

Now when she put on her make up and contacts she could challenge most celebrities in a beauty contest!

It was like she was a whole different person. The thing was I felt that was fake because it was just that I felt well she doesn't really look like that!

It wasn't the her I was around all the time. It was artificial!

Hell yeah bruh I wanna see what you look like with crust in your eyes and hot breath. If you still pretty then, then you official. A lot of these famous people are real life mud ducks but for the best makeup and hair stylists making them look brand new.

My mama always told me to flex my pretty. She used to say "We're too pretty for all that make-up!" To this day the most I'll wear is mascara. Nothing wrong with sisters wearing it every so often but if you feel like you need a full face every single day you need to look inwardly sis. Learn to love how the Most High made you.

She kept me on my toes for sure. That's one of those lessons from mama you never forget. She taught me alot about what our men like. Blessed to be married to a black man because of what she taught me.

Yes sir!! Together a strong Black Man and strong Black woman can do the unimaginable!
It’s like the atomic foundation of our community. All this red pill nonsense is just more psychological smoke and mirrors to keep us divided. The problem is the village idiots listen to it, signal boost it, and try to make it the standard. I met some difficult ass Black women but I understand it and I never used it to judge all Black women. Our community has its issues but we know the root of it and we have to work together to heal it. A lot of the distrust between one another is not even wrong. If you’re a Black woman whose father ran out, then you have a kid and the kid’s father runs out, you will have a warped perception of Black men. I accept that as a Black man.

It is crazy how much the beauty industry has been pushed on women. Make-up is no joke. It is like witchcraft at this point. Some gals I used to watch on YouTube, they always were done up and I thought they were stunning but then they started "get ready with me" vids and holy crap, they look HIT! Just eat healthier and take care of yourself. Your skin will look and feel better and you won't need to wear the entire Maybelline factory on your face. And the fake lashes thing where they are 2 inches long, needs to stop. It doesn't look cute. I am sorry.

Without that connection we are doomed to fail. We need each other. I'm all for growth and healing. I'm glad many of us are dedicated to loving on each other and fixing the issues in our community. As a black woman I know all sisters aren't living up to their greatness but some will be left behind. As adults we make the decision to be better for each other and if not ✌🏿✌🏿

Agreed. Eat your fruits and veggies! Drink some water! Women are literally becoming different people. Ruining their skin because society tells them they need to cake on 5 lbs of artificial skin.

Preach! We have a bunch of corporations telling us "Big is beautiful!". You know what isn't beautiful? Diabetes! I am so sick of this crap. Our women are letting themselves be had. Food and what you put in your body is a reflection of self-love. Our ladies need to love themselves more. You can't eat crap, drink crap, and then cake on make-up and pretend you are perfect. You need to put the effort in. Some of the most beautiful women seldom wear make-up because they understand the more you wear, it is a double-edged sword. It covers up the flaws and suffocates your skin.

"You are what you eat." People think that's a joke. If you're eating trash your body is going to show it. Feminity/natural beauty is supposed to be easy but the crap they feed us is full of hormones, steroids, and God knows what else. Being big as hell does nothing for anybody. Smh its sad. We need to do better.

I absolutely agree with that. Having to try to explain to my daughters that the stuff they see online and in social media should not dictate their idea of beauty is a difficult fight.

We had a big discussion yesterday because my wife let my oldest daughter get a nose ring without discussing it with me first.

I've always been the type of father to let my children be self sufficient and make decisions so I wasn't too upset but I just feel safe did it only because of stuff she sees online!

A lot of women who spend top dollar getting their hair done don't want to get it wet and I can understand that but this is a good way to know what she looks like without being all done up! lol

Young ladies are very quick to hop on trends. Even if they do like them, they are only interested because they seen them enough times. I have so many friends who are always flipping things and changing things to keep up with trends and some of them are in completely denial about it. They set us ladies up!

Exactly. Women can carry extra weight and still be healthy but carrying extra weight is not the same as being fat! Each year that bar gets moved. It used to be that size 8 to 14 was thick and now it is 22+... If you are over a size 14 you are getting into a dangerous area (in most cases). People wonder why they have hair problems, skin problems, teeth problems and don't look to their diets for what is going wrong.

That's the more reason why before you proceed to tie the knot with someone you should atleast have known them for a good period of time. Because many people can be so skilled in hiding their flaws and you only get to see them when you both finally living together. Better to know what she truly looks like early than to later find our after marriage and it turned out she wasn't what you really bargained for off all those make up and glam.
