And I'm definitely not victim blaming, but i wonder if she was texting or looking at her phone when he got the drop on her. I like to think I got a radar for crazy, I wonder if she had a feeling but ignored or pushed it away. One time I took a short cut home and right before I went down the street, I felt the hair on the back of my neck raise up. I ignored the feeling (the shortcut was going to save me 7 minutes at most) and almost walked into an ambush by these two WS men ( one was native american). they ended up chasing me through the neighborhood in a beat up red pick truck. when they caught up to me, I thought they were gonna shoot me like the end of Easy Rider. I ended up running into a bar and calling the police, but they took the WS side and I had to call my boss to come vouch for my whereabouts and innocence. These dickheads accused me of breaking into dude's truck and stealing his stereo. All that to say, I should've listened to my instincts, but I was drunk and high and extremely off code. and I could've easily been 86'ed just for not being fully present

As a former Arizonian taking public transport, the Phoenix area bus system has never been safe for Black people, bus operators don't care. You can sit at the back of the bus but, that is also where the most disruptive and violet folks sit too.

Arizona considers itself a wild west state. Not many laws. Lots of people with criminal backgrounds live there. Guns are legal-open carry. In the early 2000's there was a big housing and job boon. Many people like myself moved there. Not too many Black people live there but some own their own business. Maricopa county where Phoenix is mainly Hispanic, American Indians mostly living on surrounding reservations, Whites are mostly poor living in the surrounding towns. Scottsdale is an affluent white city and has no love for Black people. The bulk of Black people live in Mesa a suburb of Phoenix.
