ATC kept telling dude to pull up and he kept responding back regular so I think he was disoriented and didn’t know he was descending.

He crashed into a neighborhood…two homes were destroyed and a UPS driver was killled.

Crazy how life can go instantly with no rhyme or reason. Shout out to the grudge thread…don’t try to hold on to those grudges.

Do y’all ever watch those plane crash compilation videos on YouTube? That must be the most helpless and hopeless feeling in the world - free falling to impending doom.
Also think about how long it feels to you in the plane. We see a 30 second crash and to them in the inside it could feel like minutes of impending doom. You start thinking about your loved ones and stuff…it’s so sad. I think this guy though was lucky…I don’t even think he knew he was going to crash until probably a second before.

I guess that I’m more in touch with mortality than the average person because I’ve seen, read or heard about so much death personally and In various other circumstances. That of course, death is inevitable and we can’t choose how or in what manner we may pass on. But it’s more of hoping that person was right in his life and how he lived it. All premature death is tragic, freak accidents happen, unexpected ways it really just goes down to what you did with your life in the time that you had.

We would drive ourselves crazy thinking about all of the ways people die, how, what the thoughts are, their final seconds, why did it happen that way or to them. Had a cousin that died in a car accident at the age of 13 a long time ago but the news feels like yesterday (he was conscious for a little while crying for his mom) - that kind of set the tone for life not being “fair” and death having no remorse. I know it may come off as cynical but the deaths that I really look at as unexpected tragedy are anyone under 21- for those of us older, all we can do is live life until our time on earth has expired. The soul of that person supersedes death. But in saying that- God forbid anything happens to my kids; life would be un-liveable to me Bc that’s out of the natural order. My soul would die because they are an extension of me. All we can do is control what we can because the rest is fate.

Great point and I always tell myself in the few times that I have encountered death of a loved one is that they are in a better place. I still have my mission to accomplish here so while it may be devastating I still have to push on not only for myself but everyone around me. Like you also said, speculating about their last thoughts is a losing battle. You’ll never know and will never find out at least in this lifetime and so it can be a downward cycle if you don’t accept it and let go.
