I remember Vine and how short-lived that social app was. I was actually on that one. I watched some people I already followed on YouTube. I never posted myself. I feel like TikTok though... It is not something that can last either. I know Vine was bought out but younger people primarily use apps like this and they get bored and move on faster and faster. I am not sure how much longer it will be around but I can't see TikTok being a popular thing 5 years from now. If it is even still around. A lot of countries banned it because it promotes stupidity. I have seen my fair share of it floating around online. I want nothing to do with it lol

Tik Tok ain't going nowhere...the big companies like YouTube, Facebook and such have tried to make similar software (Reels) and it's still thriving. They did the same thing to Snapchat, Vine and Clubhouse and those apps either got phased out or aren't as widely used.

In all honesty, I don't think TikTok will be leaving anytime soon. TikTok is a worldwide app with millions of users, and there is so much activity within the app itself. I personally get on TikTok when I am bored and trying to pass the time, and I believe a lot of others do it as well. It's a form of entertainment and I believe it will be around for a long time.

I'm not sure if TikTok would be gone too soon because the way that social media platform broke into the world, it was unbelievable. If care isn't taken, it might knock off both Facebook and Instagram because almost everyone is jumping into the channel now.

I guess I am just over here with hopeful thinking. That has to be the WORST social platform there is. Teaching young black children to hate themselves, girls to be ratchet, and emboldening stupidity as a positive trait. I just want the app to be gone already lol

I think Tiktok is going to stay around for a while. Just look at Youtube for example, it has been online for over almost two decades now, and it's still going strong. So many people use it nowdays that if it actually does end up becoming less popular it's going to take a while for it to completely disappear.

This younger generation are so much into the social media site TikTok like their lives depends on it. A lot of them are turning themselves into online influencers with TikTok and I heard that they get paid for getting to a level on it. It's not going to fall through soon.

I just downloaded the application and it looks interesting. I have seen a lot of celebrities making use of the application as well and by the looks of it, it seems like they are even being more active on TikTok more often than they are on other social media platforms now.

My kids are on it. I know many people are on it and I have considered starting one for B1 advocacy (NOT ENTERTAINMENT) purposes since so many youngins are on it. But because of the coonery (and the fact that I just feel silly even looking at the videos marketed on other social media let alone being a creator) I have been very hesitant to get on it myself. I'm just really turned off by it but feel like I'm missing out on a active population that would be receptive to my message (so many don't read).

I just hope people are smart about the app. It is bad enough it is a data farm for China but the trends and stupidity on that app spread like a virus and you can see it dumbing down people in real time.

I don't think TikTok will phase out, so many companies are using videos for their marketing strategies which are more fun and engaging. For apps such as Instagram and Facebook to copy introduce reels to their features, TikTok is certainly going nowhere.
