22 year old Anndel Taylor of Buffalo by way of Charlotte, N.C. was driving home in the storm of the century while leaving work. She got stuck in a snow bank. She tried to reach out for help using social media & even created a final message for her loved ones. This could have been prevented if she was prepared for an emergency. This is very sad but also a lesson to prepare your car with emergency supplies just incase of a super blizzard or what have you. An emergency blanket, some granola bars and extra water could have saved her life. She's not the only one. 28 other people were found dead in their cars trapped during the storm. Don't get caught slipping out here. These types of storms will only increase as the corporate interests continue to deny that creating their useless products is causing climate change. Buffalo New York is becoming a hotbed of Black death as this is the same city that was underseige by white supremacist Peyton Gendron. He murdered 10 grocery shoppers in a targeted & planned ambush. Buffalo is going through it.

damn. I had something similar happen to me during a snowstorm in Oklahoma. I had pulled over to wipe off my windshield somewhere between Dallas, TX and Durant, OK. I couldn't get the car back onto the road. Luckily for me, the first people to pull over were some (white) Canadians who drove me to Norman in a trip that would usually be an hour ended up being 9. Every other vehicle we passed on the road was turned over or stalled out. This could've easily happened to me because I was in a rental and I had no sort of emergency provisions. Shit's sad. I can't even bring myself to watch the video.

Nah,unfortunately 28 other people died the same exact death in their cars stuck due the storm. Resources from Governor Hochul are inbound as we speak.

That's horrible, to be stuck out there with no help. I've been through a few big snow storms, a couple blizzards and they can be big burden. I don't like to go out in them. And if I can, I will call out of work to not risk it. My job isn't important, so they can do without me for a day or two until things clear up. Help could have found a way to get to her. I'm sure they have plows that can drive out to where she is to clear a path for help. Figure out a solution to help these people who are stranded.

If you live in a place that has rough winters, you gotta stay prepared. Bring an emergency blanket, food, water, med kit, etc. Anything that could help you survive longer when stranded out in the cold.

Wonderful post brother and reason why we cannot afford to only think within the moment. We have to think "if X happens what am I going to do?" and then plan accordingly. RIP to the young sister and to all of us that are remaining, plan for.an emergency.

If you have a car & live in a snowy climate you should have a small shovel in your trunk in the winter along with an emergency bag. Mother Nature is getting bold with these weather patterns.

Very sad indeed. You have to be prepared for these situations. I use to watch a show on the weather channel where survival tips were given for these weather disaster situations. Buffalo winter weather is no joke. I need to see if my relatives there are okay.

New York hasn't been safe in a long time, only getting worse as time goes on.

I agree about being prepared. Make sure you and your family know what to do in situations like this. Have items in the car during the winter months and not in the trunk, keep them in the back seat or on the floor. These storms have hit the east coast for a long, long time. We are seeing more deaths because of ignorance. We should be safer than ever with all of our tech but we are not. Commonsense is being lost on the younger generations.
