Do You Own Life Insurance?

It seems like so many people today are using crowdfunding to bury their loved ones. I am honestly alarmed at the number of people who need a gofundme account because their spouse, parent, or child passed away.

LAN Parties, even been to one?

Have you ever been to a LAN party? They're kinda nerdy and I don't think many people do them these days. But growing up, I was into PCs and gaming, and during a few times, I would go to a friends LAN party. If you don't know what a LAN party is, it's essentially a party or group event where people hook up a bunch of PCs and game together in the same room.

I remember the first time, we played Counter-strike source on PC. It was in our friends basement, and we just played for hours, drank and smoked. Was a blast. Sadly LAN parties are kinda dying out these days, but they still do them from time to time.

Have you ever been to one? Or even hosted one?

Do you hold any traditional values when it comes to relationships?

xvvx.jpeg

I am fairly traditional. I believe the man should be the financial supplier and the woman should be the homemaker. This is not to say this is how it can work out for everyone. In many cases, both people in the relationship need to work. Some women want careers as well and there is nothing wrong with that. For me personally though, I want to commit to a man who can provide so I can be the one who tends the home. To me, this is ideal for raising children and having a strong foundation. If you don't want children, both people pursuing careers is likely the better option. I like to be lead and submissive but not to the point of being used, abused, or stepped on. It is hard to find this balance in today's world but I know some couples who make it work and they are some of the happiest couples I know. I believe in courtship, marriage, and lasting bonds.

Do you hold any traditional values when it comes to relationships or are you more for modern changes?

Do you have a fish tank?

I have a small 20-gallon tank. Been keeping it going for almost 3 years now. I have some of that moss growing on a piece of wood in there, looks like a small tree. I have a few other live plants as well. I did have gravel and half soil. I am considering upgrading and getting a larger one but I am worried a larger one would require a lot more upkeep and care. I just have some guppies and shrimp in there now. Had to separate the males and females (the females are in a smaller 5 gallon) cause those horny little devils wouldn't stop breeding!

Just looking for general tips or advice for managing a larger tank. I think I want to go up to a 40 or 50 gallon one.

Cloud gaming

Google Stadia, Amazon Luna, Xbox X Cloud streaming, Nvidia and more are offering places to cloud stream your favorite games. Xbox now has the ability to stream your games through the Xbox app on your phone. I haven't played around with it much, but it's pretty fun to be able to play newer games through the cloud. And Amazon Luna seems to be gaining popularity with their streaming platform.

But, Google Stadia has been kinda considered a failure. The fact they are charging full price for older games, at least they were when Stadia came out.

Has anyone here used any of the cloud streaming platforms?

Could you do a relationship without sex and intimacy?

Someone I know is currently in a very odd relationship. He's dating this woman that hasn't had sex with him in a while, and isn't into cuddling or being close together. The odd thing about it all, is that these two have been dating for a while now, maybe a year or two.

With all that being said, do you think you could date someone without having sex and having any intimacy? I couldn't do it. I feel like that's just a relationship that should have ended a lot sooner. But, I know some people who just date someone to live with them, so maybe that's what is going on there.

Could you see yourself sticking with a relationship that didn't have any love?

Scambaiting, anyone here do it? or are into watching others?

I have been watching a lot of these YouTube channels that do scambaiting. If you don't know what it involves, it's basically people being vigilanties on the internet and through phone. They will often waste the time of scammers, those that call about your extend car warranty, or about your recent purchase on Amazon.

One of my favorites to watch it Kitboga. He uses virtual machines to toy with scammers, who will go on to his virtual machine and he would then try to turn the tables on the scammers and get their details and even hack their computers sometimes. Some have even gone so far as to reach out to the victims of scammers and stop them from making a payment to the scammers.

I've wanted to try scambaiting myself, but there is some legality with it and on top of that, you have to make sure they can't do anything to you.

Lets buy the New Orleans Saints guys

Did you guys hear about this yet? The owner of the Saints, Gayle Benson, plans to sell the New Orleans Saints after he death, and all profits from the sale will go to charities I imagine she hand picked.

Pretty crazy to sell off a team in this way, but I honestly am intrigued to see who buys it. Hell, let's all pool our money together and buy it! 😳 If I had the money I'd for sure take the chance. How much you think this team could go for?

Do you plan on investing in a Linux-powered phone?

I am. I am waiting until they are more stable though. There are some options now like the PinePhone, Librem 5, and the Pro 1X. They are just not 100% stable yet which is why I am waiting. That and they can be hard to come by. I definitely plan on my next phone being a Linux-powered one. I care about privacy, security, and freedom over my tech.

Anyone else here going to get one?

The 1960s - Over 40% of black families owned their own businesses, what happened?

That was almost 1 in every 2 families having their own business. I have to wonder what happened here. Now it is something like less than 8%. I also was reading the statistics for marriage and co-op parenting. At the same time, 85% of black households were married or co-opting parents. Thomas Sowell has a strong stance on this in blaming the welfare state for ruining the black businesses, the black household/family, and the black community. He says in one generation of being on a welfare state, all of this was destroyed. I think the police state plays a role but I am not sure what he thinks about that.

What are your thoughts on this?
