So last Friday mama said she was coming to bring me a entertainment center that goes under a wall mount T.V.So I explained to her that I don't have my T.V wall mounted and I don't like wall mounted T.V's and she can give that to someone else.Her response was,"Oh yeah I forgot" So her and my brother show up Saturday we eat, laugh and have a good time,then she says, " Boy, you and your brother go get that entertainment center out my trunk" and gives me the stink eye.....guess I'm wall mounting the T.V.....

I really love to look good every time and I wouldn't be able to achieve this without a good shoe on to compliment my outfit.

I don't really have a particular dressing pattern as I could be seen rocking a good suit or wearing a denim Jean with a tee-shirt on. But as for my shoes as much as I like to look good I also want to be comfortable in whatever I am putting on.

You can spot me wearing a Nike shoe or a Jordan fit any day as these are among my favourite shoe brands.

Our youth is our future.

It's no longer news that we need to create more awareness concerning black life education and the realities of racism perpetrated to blacks in diaspora.

Not a lot of programs or documentaries actually touch issues concerning this that is why the few that take it upon themselves to educate the youths about these societal issues using a more entertaining as well as straight to the point approach are seen as rare gems to me.

Grown-ish is one of such TV series that reveals a lot of struggles faced by black youth in the all white colleges and how if they rise to speak with one voice can help each other scale through the storm and come out strong as a community.

The writers of Grown-ish deserves more accolade's for the wonderful impact they have been giving to the world on the difficulties that black youths are faced with.

My unpopular take - Social media itself is cool, but when it went mobile, and people started getting unlimited data plans.. the world fell apart.

Before that, you had to be home to check your messages and be active. So when you were out, you were still living life and creating relationships. After it went mobile, people can't just enjoy the moment anymore. It has to be broadcasted on social media right then. It's sad.

The battery capacity on the iPhones are quite low and even the latest iPhone 13 has a battery capacity less than 4000mah which is quite low if you are looking for a phone with a long lasting battery.

The social media had grown to be one of the most popular platforms for interaction , learning and also various forms of socialization. It is evident that many individuals join this platform to have a break from their real life situations and become whatsoever they might want to be on social media.

I was in an abusive relationship for 2years.
Each time I tried to leave, he would come crying and begging on his knees for forgiveness.

Immediately after his discharge from the hospital, he sent me a message that he was done dating someone who would send him to the hospital.
I simply replied 'good riddance to bad rubbish

Guess what? The good Samaritan is now my husband. we have been married for 12years.

If you got some land or access to it, consider getting some food in the ground. Even if it's just a gang of potatoes and some greens, every dime you save from not having to go to the grocery store, is a dime you can put toward something else.

Don't be fooled by the Emmit Till Anti Lynching Act. It does absolutely nothing to protect black people.
All it does is make an amendment to an already existing federal law. USC Title 18 Section 249 to be specific.
Prior to the passage of this bill:
If a white man lynched a black man and got caught he'd go to jail for many years.
After passage of this bill:
If a white man lynched a black man and got caught he'd go to jail for many years.

Difference. Now it's just officially considered a hate crime. (Mind you not a hate crime specifically against black people because this bill nor USC Title 18 mention black people)

If you losing your freedom wasn't enough to keep a person from lynching me, then the fact that they will be labeled racist in doing so probably won't stop them either!
