Are (American) Blacks Losing Supremacy In The NBA?

Jokic is considered the best player in the NBA, 2nd at worst. This list Counting down the NBA's top 30 players for 2023-24 season: Nos. 15-1 is arbitrary but you gotta to 4th (Tatum) to see an American black player. I am kinda so/so with brothers from other countries. Some are down and some go along with the flow if you know what I mean?

I want to see Blacks win, period. Some of these brothers pick up on the black vibe in America, some don't. Anyway, I have long heard its the NBAs secret (or not so secret) agenda to make the league more non black and more international so it can eventually challenge soccer as a globally supported sport.

I have noticed 2 things from white boys on the internet when it comes to the NBA. First, they ride Jokic's dick like a porn star. They are tryna make him the goat. Every little thing is blown out of proportion. I saw some headline where it said 'Jokic makes history' and its him being 114th on the assist list. 114th? Yeah, see what I mean. He's great. No doubt. He's arguably number 1 or 2 in MVP depending on where you place Emblid. That's another thing. When he won the MVP, white boys kept saying Jokic was robbed. Robbed is when its clear cut. When its a toss up its not robbery but you know how white boys are. I'll say this about Jokic. He's a great player in an era where the NBA isn't deep on quality big men/centers. If he was in the '90s he'd a non starting all star. No way he'd get the same numbers with Shaq, Robinson, Ewing, Malone, Hakeem, Duncan, etc in the same league. No way. He'd be very good but no where as dominant.

Second thing white boys are doing is going hard on the LeBron hate. "Never the goat", "Crybaby" "LeFlop" etc. I don't personally think LeBron is the GOAT but he's 100 percent in the conversation whenever it happens. That's no sleight. That's a fantastic thing to be in the conversation. Only a handful of guys can say that. White boys starting going in on him when he started taking the knee for BLM. The hate is disguised as basketball banter but its about him personally. Early on he had some missteps. Not acknowledging Tamir Rice's murder is huge but over time he has come around.

The guy is what we want all the black players to emulate coming up. He grew up in the projects, no father, married his HS sweetheart, fantastic husband and father. No hint of any affairs. No drinking, weed, spends 2 mil a year on his body and health. He started being more pro Black. Spends is money wisely. First athlete to be a billionaire while playing. This guy should be a role model for athletes and I think we should acknowledge that and push that. Too many Black professional athletes end up broke with multiple baby mamas. So what if he's not the GOAT? He changed teams and won rings. So what? Is that worth castigating him like that? You or I may not like it but is that some major crime?

Anyway, I have heard it said European teams develop their players better than we do in America. They work on fundamentals and we push highlight reel stuff too early. I like the Greek Freak and overseas brothers generally. I look at not just their talent though. Are they gonna allies or not when push comes to shove? That's my only question.

Newsom: DeSantis isn’t anti-woke, he’s ‘anti-Black’

Gov. Gavin Newsom took another swing at his Republican nemesis in a conversation with “Late Night” host Seth Meyers Wednesday, stopping just short of calling Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis racist.

“It’s not anti-woke,” he said of the Republican governor’s conservative policies. “What he really means is anti-Black.”

A spokesperson for DeSantis did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

The Seth Meyers appearance follows last month’s face-off with DeSantis, moderated by Fox News’ Sean Hannity, where Newsom struggled to land direct jabs at the Florida governor in a messy, 90-minute debate. The California Democrat, a major surrogate for President Joe Biden’s reelection campaign and probable 2028 White House contender, had hoped to show off his blue state bonafides on the national stage. But what was billed as a fair fight between the governors quickly devolved into a two-on-one situation, with Newsom fending off blows from both Hannity and DeSantis.

Speaking in more friendly territory to Meyers in New York City Wednesday, the Democratic governor had free rein to castigate DeSantis — including his floundering presidential campaign.

“I’m not running for president,” Newsom said. “Ron DeSantis, apparently, still is.”

Newsom accused him of censoring facts, rewriting history and going after marginalized groups.

“I’ve developed a lot of animus toward him because of his animus toward all of you,” he said to the studio audience that frequently applauded Newsom. “This guy is scapegoating vulnerable communities. He’s attacking minorities, attacking women, and I don’t like it.”

Newsom has repeatedly rebuffed speculations that he’s mounting a bid for president in 2024, and has shown deference to Biden. He told Meyers it was an honor to be” on Hannity “to tell the truth about the Biden record”. He’s also criticized Democrats for failing to counter Republican narratives on culture war issues.
The governor hit that point again on Wednesday, saying that he agreed to the debate because he felt it was important to “hold these guys accountable.”
“I wanted to push back against it,” he said of DeSantis’ policies around transgender students and drag shows. “I felt like the party was a little timid on all this.”

He said Democrats need to be the ones hitting Republicans first over things like gun control.

“On all of these issues we’re on the right side but we just need to get on the other side of our anxieties and doubts and go on the offensive,” he said.
Meyers also gave Newsom a chance to rebuff Republican criticism of his own state, asking him about the pervasive homelessness in California, a costly high-speed rail project and the problems plaguing his hometown of San Francisco.

“They’ve been on a doom loop about San Francisco ever since Nancy Pelosi became speaker,” Newsom said.

Black Cake (Hulu)

Give Your thoughts have you seen it did you like it?
I found the story interesting as well as intriguing I haven't read the book so I'm wondering if the TV script stayed true to the book. It shows what growing up in different cultures can be like as well as the consequences of having and keeping family secrets. I give it 4 stars well written and well acted. Worth the watch.
Miniseries Hulu 8 episodes.

Would An EV With Solar Panels Still Function?

If ish ever hit the fan, people would not have access to gas anymore for cars. Many EVs would be useless as well but the ones that do have solar panels on them would still be able to accept power and charge. But if the power structures are busted and the internet is out, would they still function without being able to access online?

The reason I ask is cause I am considering getting an EV as a secondary car, one with solar panels so I could at least move around if things ever got bad.

Are We Paying Attention To AI?

News content from Politico, Business Insider and other European outlets will be used to build OpenAI’s artificial intelligence systems after the start-up reached an agreement with the media multinational Axel Springer SE.

This is something people need to keep an eye on. We know a lot of the so called news that is put out there are lies so this AI is going to be trained to lie. One of the main dudes at OpenAI stepped down not that long ago too. They sugarcoat this as being a good thing but it isn't. Don't be fooled.

"I Can't Find On My Level" Sisters

I've seen this constantly. We see it on social media. Divestors/Swirlers, Kendra G show, not enough brothers on my level. Maybe for some of you ladies on here, you say its true. My home girls have said as much.

However, I have not seen it among my homies and myself. In my early to mid 20s I've dated or tried to date a few women who made more than me, but its not been my experience when I got near 30 and beyond.

100k and more seems to be the bench mark that is discussed. I did some googling and it didn't take too long to find the percentage of Black men making 100k or more. But for some strange reason I'm having problems finding the same information for sisters. If anyone has any verifiable percentages, please post them.

TBA has said that after a certain age brothers take off. That seems to be the case among me and my friends. The sisters we knew 10 years ago in our job status aren't making as much on average and the one that are, they're carrying way more debt. They have far more student loans. They spend far more each month. They live a far higher lifestyle. A friend of mine said his sista coworker has a much more expensive apartment, and when she goes on vacation stays at far more expensive hotels. Sisters (and women in general) do far more IG clout chasing.

Legendary Actor Andre Braugher Has Passed Away

Andre Braugher has died. The two-time Emmy-winning star of series including Homicide: Life on the Street, Men of a Certain Age and Brooklyn Nine-Nine was 61. Braugher, whose first film role came alongside Matthew Broderick and Denzel Washington in the Ed Zwick-directed Glory, died on Monday after a brief illness.

While Braugher peppered his resume with comedies, many will remember him for his ferocious portrayal as Detective Frank Pembleton in the NBC drama Homicide: Life on the Street. Put him in the box, sweating out and outsmarting crime suspects in the interrogation room, and you were looking at a weekly dose of tour de force acting, as good as it got on television during that period of time. He won an Emmy for that show he starred in from 1992-98 and Homicide is also where he met his wife, actress Ami Brabson. Along with her, Braugher leaves behind sons Michael, Isaiah and John Wesley, as well as his brother Charles Jennings and his mother Sally Braugher. He won the Emmy in 1998, as well as two Television Critics Association Awards in 1997 and 1998

May he rest in peace.
