I have no issues when you speak on contributing to the culture, but it changes all the way up when you talk about creating something that we have been doing for over a hundred years in this country. And this is just stuff that we have on film and records. I'm sure it stretches way before that. It's bigger than Hip Hop but Hip Hop has become the line in the Sand!!!!

This is what Fat Joe means when he says Puerto Ricans helped create Hip Hop 50/50. If this one video ain't a documentary of our existence, I don't know what is.

Mine is pretty apropos

I stumbled upon this spot while looking for a Brunch. It's not in the French Quarter or the Business District, so it's in the neighborhoods.....and that was the first sign that it might be really good.

It didn't disappoint. This is a perfect place to meet the family friends and gather around the table for Brunch and Adult Beverages. Highly recommend. I'm very impressed by the ladies running the place. Good service, good food and great atmosphere. Im proud of this BOB and I know you will be too.

This isn't unknown. We know this. I've heard white friends or biracial passing people, as well as white hispanics say how racist language against us specifically is very normalized and even if you are white and say something, they avoid you and simply wait for the offended white person to leave and start up again. They aren't trusted anymore.

Now down to business. This thread is meant to help all of us brainstorm & share info that can help all of us to build, streamline, or modify our bugout & get home bags.

I'll go first and describe my get home bag:

My get home backpack stays in my car & goes everywhere I do. It is designed to help me get home if I'm stranded somewhere outside of my immediate area. Your get home bag is of no use to you if leave it at home!

• Laptop backpack from Walmart (it's a plain looking bag that doesn't scream "steal me")
• First aid/boo boo kit for minor cuts, scrapes, bites, & burns
• Super bright LED pocket flashlight
• Folding pocket knife (usually kept on my body)
• 9mm pistol & spare magazine plus another pistol on my body
• Fire kit
• Bottled water, granola bars, & tuna/crackers kit
• Sillcock key so I can refill my water bottle
• Small prybar
• Gloves
• Power kit: solar charger, wall charger, 2 USB cables
• Multi tool
• Solar emergency radio
• Pair of clean socks (I plan to buy some moleskin, too)
• 2 bandanas
• Rain poncho
• Space blanket
• 2 hand warmers
• 10 feet of paracord
• Small ratcheting screwdriver kits
• Box cutter
• Pen, notepad, & Sharpie
• A few ziplock bags
• Hand sanitizer
• Hand wipes
• Light jacket (not there in the summer, & I sometimes swap it for a hoodie)

Everything is sorted into small sandwich bags, and there is still a lot of room left in the backpack, and the bag is very light. The 2 heaviest things are the pistol and the power kit.
Also, I don't have any shelter items listed because I'm usually never more than a day's walk from my house. If I really need shelter, I have a 2 person tent that I keep in my trunk. Since I'm in an urban area, I can stop for breaks if necessary, but ideally I would be back at home before I need to sleep.

The current massacre of Palestinians by the hand of Israel is teaching the white passing immigrant class a simple yet harsh lesson; you’re not white! While I’m appalled at the bombing of innocent people and children I don’t have much sympathy for Arabs or Palestinians in America. Majority of them have been able to live a life free of the horrors our ancestors faced and they actively minimize our plight in America in order to get closer to white supremacy. Patrick Bet David is a great example of this, he’s a white passing Iranian that downplays any FBA struggle every chance he gets. In the linked video Professor words the situation perfectly by saying what white supremacy is doing to these Arab immigrants is a cruel prank, shattering their entire identity. I couldnt have chosen better words as I’ve maintained verbatim that white supremacy operates with a certain level of cruelty when dealing with non white people. What’s going on in Israel is horrible but it doesn’t compare to FBA atrocities.

I've said this long before Tariq said it because I saw it first hand. Around the world black American, or specifically FBA culture as Tariq names it, anyway, is the most popular culture globally.

No other culture is mimicked, liked, followed. None. I'm hoping to any other that anyone can think of. I've also said that the culture can be used as a weapon. My observation is everyone outside the culture sees the value of it more than the masses of blacks in America do. Tons of non Black people got rich off the culture because they see the real value that we all (black collective who live in America, all, FBA, non FBA born and raised) take for granted. The music, slang, entertainers are global. I have heard fam, lit, As F*ck, etc, pretty much every continent by young people. (unfortunately they misuse the n*gga but thats another topic for another day)

If Black American culture really gets behind something, shit happens. The George Floyd/BLM marches is the latest example. Everyone was on board, meaning the black collective. As soon as that happens, liberal whites did, then it went global. England being the place where it took off the most outside America. Tariq said the UK was his biggest supporters outside America.

By getting Blacks to support Israel the thinking is others will.
