I'm a massage therapist and instructor, and musician, so this is far from my professional wheelhouse, but I'm rather comfortable with computers (was introduced to LINUX in 2004). I appreciate logic, mathematics, and programming, and plan on studying neuroscience. Cryptography, blockchain, smart contracts are all new concepts for me, but the potential is obvious. It seems to me that the trick is to create blockchains wherever we need them--their value is based on how they we use them.
I don't know what I could contribute but quality ideas. On one hand, it seems transferring wealth from US$ to something that beats the inflation rate is a good idea (maybe something also attached to petrol for now, but who knows?); at the same time, being able to use our own currency, or any currency not controlled and/or dominated by WS is exciting.
DAOs seem especially interesting. Using smart contracts to remove middlemen enable complex p2p interactions. with a DAO, we would be able define the ecosystem's code. We could then use that crypto for our businesses, industries, governing. Not initially as a currency.
None of the is with confidence, just thoughts as I'm learning.
