I saw this and many other stories like it:
I don't feel like people fully understand the cost of owning an electric car or the strain it can put on the power grid if more people started driving them. Right now, they are telling people in Cali to stop using charging stations for their cars. The prices of electric cars (used or new) are going up as well since more people are gaining interest. The cost will be similar in terms of energy but if shit breaks in one of those cars, most people won't be able to afford the repair.
I am looking at getting a hybrid. I feel like that is the safest middle ground right now.
High gas prices boost buyer interest in electric vehicles amid Russian invasion of Ukraine
Consumers are likely to adjust driving behavior before switching to electric vehicles. Don't expect a big shift until gas prices stay at $5 a gallon.
