Always love this speech. So much truth to it and I love the way he conveys his messages.

    Dr. Umar Got Married, Family!

I totally agree - I think his heart was in the right place but his intentions got clouded with the fame.

What's your definition of a partner doing “the bare minimum" in a relationship?

For me it's when he feels like just because he's faithful and isn't abusive, he's a great partner. There's no little extras like planning dates or even just a quick text to say hi. I feel like so many settle for their partners simply because they are faithful and don’t abuse them but that...

What are your biggest pet peeves?

Agree with chewing with your mouth open and the fork thing. I also can't stand hearing anyone chew. Maybe I have a thing about eating, I don't know lol

What was your first ever date like? Let's hear some stories. :D

I don't think I had an official "first date". I was around 13 and my best friend and I ended up "liking" each other. He would come over and we would play video games for hours. We would do everything together so I guess any of those times could be counted as dates but they were never labeled...

Does anyone here have their own YouTube? Is it worth creating content there?

Exactly this! That's why it's so hard to make it on YouTube (or any platform) without a lot of work. You have to constantly keep your audience entertained and engaged.

Are scalpers still taking up all the new gen video game consoles?

The scalpers are the worst. I tried so hard to get a PS5 last year and never had any luck. Now that new Halo Xbox console came out for pre order and it sold out as soon as it was released. The problem is the companies selling them don't do anything about it so the people who actually support the...

You think we will see more shortages?

Yeah it is. We've been looking into stocking up on meats and frozen food. Even if it all doesn't completely run out, it's hard to justify spending more on the same food when I can just buy it and save it now lol

So wait... Now we have to pay Bezos?

That's why I'm trying to get away from using Amazon. They treat their employees terribly too. I had a friend who almost had a nervous breakdown because he was being harassed by other employees and they wouldn't do anything.

Wigs, Weave, Natural - What is your preference?

Yeah some of the wigs and weaves have a really fake look to them and the ones that don't are extremely expensive.

Girls (and guys too), how did the lack of representation affect you while you were growing up?

Meaning dolls, Disney movies, magazines, etc. When I was little, I remember I wanted to dress up as a princess for Halloween, but I changed my mind when I realized my skin tone didn't match any of the princess costumes. I also remember my dad explaining the lack of representation in the shows...

What are some things you do to pamper yourself?

Massages are really beneficial. I love getting them but I rarely have a chance to go. I think it's something everyone should have in their routine but it's not always possible for a lot of people. Sleep is also a good one, extra sleep can do wonders!

Countries you'd like to travel to, and those you'd like to move to

I love to travel so I would go anywhere really! My top places are France, Italy, Australia, and Japan. Hopefully all of this pandemic stuff goes away soon and traveling will be more of a possibility.

Camille A. Brown becomes the first black woman to direct and choreograph a broadway show in 65 years

I just saw an article about Camille directing the 2022 production of For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide/When The Rainbow is Enuf. I think it's great seeing black men and women making a splash in a white dominated area like Broadway. I know a lot of people who aspired to be on...

Thoughts on the Texas anti-abortion law

Agree with all of this. I think Texas is an example of what they'd like the rest of the country to be. The fact is laws like this have nothing to do with caring about life and everything to do with creating control.

Do you date within your own race(s)?

I'm really open dating any race as long as we get along and have the same morals and goals. I've dated white guys who were very sympathetic to black struggles and I've dated black guys where race didn't help at all and we just didn't get along.
