How do you feel when people call you these pet names? I personally feel that if you ain’t my girl or ain’t tryna get down don’t call me any of that.
It depends on who is saying it. For example, the Waffle House waitress will almost always call me "sugar" or "darlin'". That's acceptable, but I wouldn't want my barber or my dentist calling me that.
Also, I've had a few different girlfriends tell me that when I use their birth names instead of the pet names I give them, that makes them sad.
I used to interpret terms like honey as a come on in my younger years and would be confused with the lady in question would reject my advances. I later learned that some people just use those terms for everyone. It’s strange and unless you’re my honey, don’t call me honey.Yeah I don't like pet names from women I'm not dating but if it's an older lady or something I give it a pass.
I am not too fond of it personally, but I try not to get neurotic about it.... I guess I do though, because most mens I date do not address me like that.. Up until recently, and this guy purposely does it because he knows it's annoying to me.. you can imagine how far he will go with that!!
I only like pet names from my man. If a guy called me “baby” too quickly in the past it was an immediate turn off. Most of the time they are smooth talkers or don’t remember your real name. Red flag 🚩
