Why do you think it should still be sunny on the east coast?Everybody seems to have a different answer whenever I ask that question. Can one of you give a scientific reason why it's dark outside before 5:00 pm EST? If it's still sunny on the west coast; and Earth doesn't rotate around the sun, then shouldn't it still be sunny on the east coast?
In that animation, the sun is lighting the entire U.S., which is why I asked my question. According to that, sunrise & sunset should be at approximately the same time on both coasts. Why do you think it should still be sunny on the east coast?

The question is, does it gets dark everyday at 5p.m. or is it some unnatural phenomenon...
It’s flat
I know the Bible verses, but that's not what I asked. Read my question in the first post, and answer that. It’s flat
Genesis 1:6 And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.
Genesis 1:7 And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.
firmament what is this
KanI know the Bible verses, but that's not what I asked. Read my question in the first post, and answer that.
Look at this picture of the sun's orbit of the flattened Earth:
I looked at all of the pictures that you posted. They addressed the height and path of the sun's orbit, and length of day; but none of them answered the question that I asked. In all of the pictures you posted, NY and Oregon would still experience sunrise and sunset at the same time. What 🤨?
Are you looking at your pictures

I just freeze frame your picture that you put up of the sun in the moon, spinning hypothetically saying, let’s just say it’s 5 o’clock and the sun is about to sit tell me if you do or do not see any daylight on the west coast and you do not see darkness about to take over on the East CoastCan one of you give a scientific reason why it's dark outside before 5:00 pm EST? That makes no sense because "experts" claim space is infinite and always expanding. Why would the firmament expand?? Doesn't the bible says God is sitting on top of it? How do you sit on top of something that's expanding? When the bible mentions firmament, it is referring the space being separate from air/sky, being separate from land, being separate from water. You are meant to think of it on an individual scale, so where you are standing, what you are able to see, touch, etc. So if you are on dry land, you can't see what is below but you can see what is above. If you are at sea, you can see some of what is below you but there is still land down there. That is how I understand it anyways.
The earth is round. I do think that the earth is the center point of this galaxy though. No scientific reasoning or conclusions. If we only use the bible as reference, we know earth was made first, before the sun or moon.
Many things in the bible are not meant to be interpreted as plain language. A lot of it is written like poetry. That makes no sense because "experts" claim space is infinite and always expanding. Peter 1:
20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
Who did?who brought us the science
In my opinion you're not entirely wrong about starts being something else than we're told. Many things in the bible are not meant to be interpreted as plain language. A lot of it is written like poetry.
I always felt the way the universe expands is through people going to heaven. I know it might sound silly but what if when a human leaves his or her body and goes to heaven, that life energy creates a new star? And "being with God" is just being in the outer heavens which is "space".
A friend of mine makes a pretty convincing argument that "hell" is in the bottom of the ocean as well because it is beyond boiling water in the depths. I don't know how to explain that as well as she does though but there are actual worm creatures the bible talks about in reference to hell in the bottom of the ocean.
I never claim to know it all, I don't and none of us can but I think expanding on various ideas allows us to grow and expand as people.
I think this is meant for the person reading it. It is how you are meant to form a relationship with God. I think the close to draw near to him, the more wisdom and understanding you gain.I see a lot of gnostic followers pushing this doctrine. "The bible is meant to be an allegory, etc". Cool, but then who decides what it means?
