I know not everyone here attends or believes, I can understand that. I think we can all see the value in a strong church being in a neighborhood though. Back in the day, it was about supporting the community. Making sure the kids were taken care of. Giving where it is needed through donations (money, food, clothing, etc.). These days, it seems like the pastors are the ones who make out good and there is not that much support to go around. I have tried a few different churches in my area - black churches (owned and run), mixed churches, and even ones in whiter areas (I was among maybe 6 or 7 black folks in attendance). I don't feel any connection. It doesn't feel like a community but rather a means to make people feel better for showing up and donating. Maybe that is just me. Maybe my area and the churches I have gone to just haven't been any good.

Do you trust your local churches? Do you have a church you can go to and know you are part of a community and a system that supports your area through faith, love, and charity?

I keep seeing famous celebs calling for a succession, that since people are this polar opposite in their opinions - we should just all break apart. There are government officials calling for it in different states, Texas being one. I have seen/heard a lot of talk on social platforms from everyday people calling for it as well.

Given that our trade system relies heavily on different zones and states, breaking things up I feel would hurt everyone long-term. Now I don't understand the laws and the lengths of this process, but I feel like if something like this were to take place it would hurt the minorities the most and those who earn under $50k per year.

What are your thoughts on this? Do you think it would benefit anyone?

The mainstream media is tired of people like me. People who always practiced using their brains. They are slowly trying to outlaw independant thoughts. Then, there are other people who dont like that your observations are correct. I thought that I wouldnt hear the phrase conspiracy theory anymore. What words or phrases will they use to try to discredit my opinions now? A decade ago people were waking up , now its a fight against people that claim they are "woke". You would have to be unconscious if you think that the world is in good shape.

Apparently Michael Eric Dyson has been reading Iceberg Slim, cause this man got on the internet spitting his best rap. To make matters worse he spoke about how black men were to blame for the women marrying Zaddy and choice of these black (mostly immigrant) males being at these Ivy League and Elite schools.

I've supported and I rock with our brotha Tariq for many years, anyone who knows him through his live broadcasts knows he can get petty and funny at the same time. Many times it is warranted and sometimes it just gets overdone. On his Twitter spaces with these topics of #FBA Vs. (insert any African name) he tends to start talking about them. I have no problem with putting these tethers in check for some of the bullsh*t they pull when they come over to our soil. When you result in name-calling and flat out making fun of them it starts getting a tad bit elementary.
Having these conversations has been long overdue but let's show them intellectually why you don't F' around and stab #FBA in the back once you are here, don't resort to name-calling just to try and make them look stupid. Don't get me wrong, a good roast is fun to listen to but, when it seems like every space he hosts turns into name-calling and a roast session... I tune out. The point is to point out that what they are doing is wrong and won't be tolerated and to let them know what to expect if they keep up with their bullsh*t.

Does anyone else feel the same or am I overthinking this?

As I cruise through the online streets of social media all I see at every turn is posts and panels of black men and black women going at each other’s throats. Black men won’t do this, black women won’t do that. So much of the arguments are centered on what we disagree with but very rarely is a discussion had on what we do agree on but that conversation never goes further than “We need to come together”. When I hear this it literally bears no substance. Here is why. Who you agree with is just as important as what you agree on. I mean this in an intimate relationship context. I see panels on youtube and all the conversations revolve around intimate relationships. Out of all the content you watch how many are people are intimately involved with the people they are debating or exchanging perspectives with… only a few.

So what I'm getting at is this while I do believe the discussion needs to be had, I have questions about the people having it. Most if not all of them claim to be single, they all claim to have their shit together, they all claim to be a person of value. So my initial thought is why aren’t these people pairing up, these people are compatible people right… well, obviously not. So I have concluded that “We want what we want and only want it from who we want it from.” This isn’t new but it never gets said. A lot of it comes down to looks. Attractiveness starts with the physical and then we hope everything else falls into place beyond that. This is a problem we all have including myself. In carrying on the conversation the way it's been presented we are pretty much trying petition to someone that doesn’t want us, why they should want us and why they should change for us. Or That person wants us but there are some attributes that we want them to change, and that they should change for us because we think we are worth it. It’s a perpetuating cycle. That doesn’t work. I admit that it's growing more and more difficult for people to find someone who aligns with them. But these general blanketed conversations won't fix the conflict or advance the conversation. When you listen to the conversations had and black men and black women air out their grievances about each other you’ll notice that each of their problems is segmented to a certain category or percentage of men and women. But then they will dip back into that same pool in hopes of finding something different. If you go fishing in a lake full of piranhas at what point do you realize there’s no salmon.

I remember when Rihanna started, she was very young and had a similar island charm to her. Koffee just released a new track yesterday. I love the heavy Jamaican accent she has. A suspect wearing a Sonic the Hedgehog mask and armed with a hammer attempted to rob a DeLand bank Wednesday, according to authorities.

Police received a call at around 4:20 p.m. about an armed robbery in progress at the Florida Credit Union at 1735 N Woodland Blvd., according to the DeLand Police Department.

Officers learned that a suspect wearing a Sonic mask and holding a hammer entered the bank demanding money. At one point, the suspect hit the teller’s window with his hammer and continued making demands.

I have a soft spot in my heart for old DOS games and old Windows 95/2000/XP compatible games. Are there any that you still play in some capacity or another?

Here's a few I still play, even now:

1. Monopoly Tycoon - Hasbro's first attempt to really expand Monopoly past the traditional board game and into a more Simulation based, strategy game. I was like SimCity and the Build-A-Lot series.


2. Blake Stone: Aliens of Gold - This game was built on the then, all new Doom3D Engine and plays just like Doom and Wolfenstein 3D as well. You're a Special Agent who is hunting down a disgraced mad scientist who killed your family and is hell bent on killing you. It's 6 episodes long and 10 episodes per episode I think.


3. Sherlock Holmes: Consulting Detective Vol. 1, 2 and 3 - An interactive collection of Sherlock Holmes mysteries. There were usually 3 investigations to solve and a certain amount of points to accumulate before you could present your case to the Judge.


4. Oregon Trail II - It's not really a sequel per se, they just filled out the game a little more and created more depth. For example, you can choose which year your party leaves which in turn, impacts what cities you can leave from during that time, it also determines what items might be available and what occupations you can choose from.



4. Clue CD-Rom (Win 3.1/95) - The classic board game was reimagined as an interactive party detective game. 3 different murders to choose from and I think there were like 3 or 4 difficulties to play on which impacted who the murderer was. The only thing I wish it would have done was randomized who the murderer was each time, because otherwise, once you correctly solve the case, no matter the level, then the replay-ability isn't there since you already "know the answer".



Others I play periodically:
Space Quest - Humorous point and click sci-fi game that parodies a lot of then pop-culture stalwarts. Notably Star Wars and Star Trek.




Where in The World is Carmen San Diego? - I watched the show growing up also, but for those of you either too old or just not hip. You're a detective who is on the trail of the leader of the V.I.L.E gang, Carmen San Diego, and her crew of thieves as they steal landmarks or local relics from different places across the globe.


Those are all the games I recall I'm playing for now.
