What was your very first WTF or "I didn't see that coming" moment in either a video game, TV or movie?

For me in gaming: I would have to say it was Final Fantasy X. Finding out that Yevon was playing everyone for the fool just to keep the leaders all in power and letting Sin run amok on the people to keep them all in line? Meanwhile the summoners are all going off on a suicide mission, thinking they'll be the one to finally defeat Sin for good? That shit blew my mind at age 16 because it was so relevant to what was happening with the Church at the time amid all the scandals and the covering it all up and the hush money and just all the lengths a religious construct is willing to do to keep the people obedient.

TV/Movie: Sixth Sense was my first movie "WTF" moment. Finding out Bruce Willis' character actually died in the end? The Skeleton Key I would argue is a very close second.

Now we're talking. I don't usually bother with GTA anymore, the game has become stale for me, at least when it comes to the online mode. I can't get into it unfortunately. But, this might entice me enough to play the new Franklin DLC that's coming out, which will be featuring Dr. Dre and new unreleased music.

Your pets passing away is not a fun experience. I've lost a few pets in my life and it doesn't get easier. But, how do you cope after they pass? Do you get another pet afterwards? Or do you usually wait it out before adopting another pet into the family?

Each of my pets have helped me a lot with my mental health, and losing them is very tough on me, but I think for the most part, giving another pet a home is a good option. I've been think about adopting a pet from the pound, so that I at least adopt a pet in need. Anyway, how do you deal with a loss of a pet, do you adopt another pet right away? Or do you take the time to grieve and wait on adopting another pet?

I been thinking about this for a while. It seems like a lot of people come and go from relationships like chewed bubblegum these days. I can't help but make the connection to social media. Like where people go to get validation and feel-good hormones released and soon as it wears out, they need to find something to get the next hit. Advertise yourself being a lick, bruhs.

We already have VR capabilities for games, and a lot of those games are immersive and fun to play. But, it doesn't feel like you're in a virtual world. Do you think at some point, people will start to play all games via VR? I know Facebook and Meta want to make their own VR thing, but I really don't care about their plans. I would rather see if other companies will try to make their own VR communities and worlds, but in video games.

What do you think? Could VR become more realistic one day?

I find other ways of watching movies majority of the time, but before it, I would often buy the DVD/blu-ray for the movies I enjoyed. But lately I've lost interest in buy movies, mainly because it's not cheap and I don't usually re-watch most movies. And if I do, I can just rent it or find it in other ways.

If you thought media consolidation in the USA was bad look how bad the technorevolution has been. Meta controls the information of 2.9B people via its Facebook network. The ability for platforms these platforms to control the narrative is unrivaled and shows just how impactful being banned on any of these platforms could be for your voice. These companies should have been regulated a long time ago but the Government doesn’t want that because it can now censor people with a corporate veil. I thought I would make a thread for this. I know some people have some mild/tame kinks and fetishes and some people out there act all kinds of nasty. I don't like to kink shame though and I try my best not to. So long as what you are doing is legal, with consent, and in the privacy of your own home, you do you. Just don't take that ish to public spaces be it parks, parades, hotels, or motels. No one wants to deal with that.

These three spots among a few others have declared forced lockdowns in "camps" for people who are not vaccinated, for people who have come into contact with those who tested positive (regardless of vax status), as well as people that are causing "issues". People are coming out in different places of the world telling people they are being mistreated and almost being held to the standards of cattle. I don't know about you all, but this ish scares me. I feel like we are regressing back in history and the old ways. It ain't a pretty sight.

Some spots are getting out of control in the US, the big one being NYC. They are forcing all businesses to now screen people for vax proof as young as 5 years old. This means if you are in the city and are not fully vaccinated, you will not be able to shop, eat, or basically go anywhere outside your own home. Among the many who have not been vaccinated, one of the lowest vaxxed populations in the US is black folks. I completely understand not getting it and not wanting it given the piss poor history of the government and medical industry testing stuff on black people like guinea pigs.

Yet again, the US and the government (especially those on the left) are discriminating and harming the wellbeing of black families across the board. No one is addressing it either. I feel like this is all a very slippery slope and if people don't wake up from it, we are all screwed. I am definitely having a black pill moment right now.
